Urwego Opportunity Bank (UOB) serves the economically active Rwandans who do not have access to regular banking services. As a Christian microfinance institution, it seeks to provide banking services to rural and poor individuals who have been turned away from regular banking alternatives. Through holistic methods, the banks aims to improve lives economically, spiritually, and socially. As an MFI, they have supported CARE Rwanda through the SAFI project in Gatsibo district since 2009.
