Partnership is central to the work of CARE Rwanda. When local organisations with established community relationships are supported to deliver training and provision, it is more likely to have a long term, sustainable impact. More than 70% of CARE Rwanda’s programming is implemented with community partners, creating opportunities to support, empower and strengthen their work, and ensuring that all programs meet the needs of the people we are working for. 

African Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE) works in line with Rwanda's national vision to uplift the lives of those most affected by Rwanda's past and the vulnerable individuals of present-day Rwanda, empowering the vulnerable to with self-help approaches so that they can improve their own circumstances. Working with CARE Rwanda on the SAFI project in multiple districts such as Rulindo, Nyanza, and Bugesera since 2009.

AJPRODHO-JIJUKIRWA is the Youth Association of Human Rights Promotion and Development in Rwanda. Built up of youth, the organization seeks to improve the rights of youth and children in Rwanda through human rights promotion, civil-society strengthening, youth protection, good-governance, and economic empowerment. Working in areas of youth economic empowerment of VSL, AJPRODHO-JIJUKIRWA has partnered with CARE Rwanda in Kayonza and Nyagatare Districts since 2009.

The Association pour la Promotion des Initiatives de Base (APIB) works in areas of capacity building for community development, job creation, environmental conservation, and community-based tourism. With CARE Rwanda, it helps promote economic security among rural communities and thus establishes poverty reduction. It partners with CARE Rwanda on projects such as VSL Scale-up in Burera, Musanze, and Rubavu districts since 2002.

Association pour le Développement et la Transformation Sociale (ADTS) mobilizes communities to hold local authorities and government accountable. It teaches good governance and accountability from local leaders to citizens. CARE Rwanda's partnership with ADTS has consisted of education and microfinance in Burera and Musanze since 2009.

The Associations of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR) is a national network of MFIs, which seeks to support beneficiaries to become sustainable professionals. Its partnership with CARE Rwanda focuses on capacity building and advocacy for the MFI sector and ensuring liaisons between MFIs.

The Communaute des Potiers au Rwanda (COPORWA) organization is a non-profit focusing on capacity building, sustainability, and diversification and biodiversification of acitivites. With CARE Rwanda, it has helped in areas of rights-based literacy and women empowerment in districts of Rutsiro, Gatsibo, Nyagatare, and Nyamagabe on projects such as CARE Rwanda's PALI.

The Byumba Diocese of Anglican Churches of Rwanda works with CARE Rwanda in areas of legal rights, savings and credits, and civic participation specifically in the districts of Gatsibo and Gicumbi.

The Gender Monitoring Office (GMO), falling directly under the office of the Rwandan Prime Minister and being an important partner in knowledge of changes in the situation around women’s rights, is a key advocacy partner for CARE Rwanda in its work for gender equality, eradication of gender-based violence, and women empowerment.

Good Neighbors Inc. Ltd. is an international non-profit humanitarian organization that works in areas of child education, community development, and emergency relief. Specifically in Rwanda and in partnership with CARE, Good Neighbors helps with providing school supplies, tuition, and uniforms for OVC. It also has a lending project that provides livestock, seeds, etc to VW to boost incomes and business ventures. It has been working with CARE Rwanda since 2009 in the districts of Nyamagabe, Huye, and Nyaruguru.
